This custom luxury residence in the prestigious Chartwell neighborhood of West Vancouver was designed to combine timeless architectural elegance with grand-scale family living, refined detailing, and panoramic city and ocean views. Spanning more than 8,000 square feet over three expansive levels, the residence was carefully developed over a three-year construction period with an exceptional level of craftsmanship, custom detailing, and luxury finish integration throughout.

Debbie Evans Interior Design was extensively involved from the early plan development stages prior to construction and worked closely throughout the project to refine, redesign, and elevate both the architectural and interior detailing of the residence as the project evolved. Significant modifications and enhancements were made during the design and construction process to improve functionality, flow, architectural presence, and overall luxury integration throughout the home.

The project included comprehensive interior detailing and finish specification throughout the residence, including custom millwork coordination, tile and stone specifications, plumbing fixture selections, full electrical and architectural lighting plans, ceiling detailing, interior finish integration, and exterior finish consulting and specification work. Particular attention was given to creating strong continuity between the interior architecture, exterior elevations, and surrounding landscape to ensure a cohesive and timeless luxury estate aesthetic.

One of the most significant redesign components involved the complete reconfiguration and enhancement of the primary bedroom suite, including substantial modifications to the ensuite bathroom and walk-in dressing room areas to create a far more luxurious, functional, and architecturally refined private retreat. The main entry sequence and architectural detailing were also redesigned to improve the overall arrival experience and strengthen the grand scale and elegance of the residence.

Extensive custom ceiling detailing and architectural feature integration were developed throughout the home to add visual depth, proportion, and sophistication to the large-scale interior spaces. Carefully layered lighting plans, custom millwork detailing, natural stone finishes, and architectural material selections were used throughout to create warmth, elegance, and timeless architectural character.

The residence was designed to support both formal entertaining and comfortable family living, featuring entertainment-sized living and dining spaces, a gourmet kitchen, expansive family gathering areas, and direct walk-out access to heated outdoor terraces, fireside lounge areas, resort-style pool and spa amenities, and extensive outdoor living environments designed to maximize the spectacular surrounding views.

The lower level was designed as a complete luxury entertainment and wellness environment, incorporating a custom wine room, billiards area, wet bar, games spaces, gym, and dedicated home theatre. Throughout the project, the focus remained on creating a timeless West Vancouver luxury residence that balanced architectural grandeur, refined detailing, highly functional living, and sophisticated material integration within one of the North Shore’s most prestigious residential communities.
