Cayman Islands
This luxury beachfront residence in the Cayman Islands was originally severely damaged during a major tropical storm event, with ocean water moving directly through portions of the beachfront property and causing extensive damage throughout the home. Debbie Evans Interior Design was retained to assist with the complete interior and exterior renovation of the residence, transforming the property into a refined tropical luxury retreat within one of the Cayman Islands’ most exclusive oceanfront communities.

The project involved comprehensive interior architectural detailing, finish selections, kitchen and bathroom design, lighting integration, millwork coordination, material specifications, exterior finish planning, pool design coordination, and complete landscape planning for the property. The residence was redesigned to embrace seamless indoor-outdoor living while incorporating durable, timeless materials suited for luxury coastal environments.

In addition to the interior renovation work, Debbie Evans Interior Design coordinated the extensive international procurement and logistics process for the project. The Canadian clients sourced materials, appliances, fixtures, and millwork through Canada to maximize quality, selection, and cost efficiency. Orders were coordinated through Toronto and Vancouver, shipped to Miami, and then transported to the Cayman Islands in shipping containers for final delivery to the project site.

The scope included specification and coordination of custom millwork fabricated in Vancouver, along with imported appliances, decorative plumbing fixtures, lighting, tile, stone, and finish materials. Detailed millwork drawings and custom cabinetry packages were prepared to support the extensive renovation throughout the residence.

The exterior renovation and landscape design formed a major component of the project, including landscape drawings, pool and pool tile coordination, tropical planting integration, exterior entertaining spaces, and the use of coral stone surfacing for the front parking and driveway areas to complement the coastal architecture and tropical setting.

Throughout the project, the focus remained on creating a timeless luxury beachfront residence that combined elegant tropical architecture, refined architectural detailing, sophisticated indoor-outdoor living, and highly coordinated international sourcing and construction management within one of the Caribbean’s premier waterfront communities.
