A strategic interior refresh of a Whistler townhome designed to improve both livability and rental potential—without a full renovation.
Rather than replacing recently updated kitchens and bathrooms, the focus was on high-impact changes that would modernize and brighten the space while maintaining its Whistler character. New hardwood flooring was installed on the main floor and upper landing, complemented by painting existing wood doors and trim, refinishing the fireplace, upgrading lighting, and introducing new furnishings throughout.
All furniture, bedding, towels, and linens were fully replaced with durable, rental-appropriate selections, ensuring the home is both visually cohesive and well equipped for short-term rental use.
The design approach centered on creating warmth and cohesion through layered materials, artwork, and colour. A statement rug anchors the living room, pulling together tones from the cabinetry and furnishings, while flexible seating allows the space to adapt easily for both everyday living and entertaining.
Strategic updates—such as a large mirror to reflect light and an LED mirror in the bathroom—enhance both functionality and visual scale. The result is a modern, inviting mountain retreat that is well positioned for short-term rental use while remaining comfortable for personal enjoyment.
